$50,000 Challenge Match

An anonymous donor has issued a Challenge Match for White Bear Area Food Shelf donors!
They will match every new or increased gift dollar for dollar up to $50,000.

Food insecurity has increased significantly since the pandemic. We’ve seen unprecedented growth in demand this year due to inflation and a return to pre-pandemic levels of food assistance by the SNAP program. Food Shelf visits doubled in 2019-2022, and grew this year by another 29%, now averaging 3,642 visitors/month, with 168 new visitors/month.

There’s good news. When you give to White Bear Area Food Shelf, we can leverage your gift to maximize impact. Through the end of 2023, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar through a Challenge Match from an anonymous donor up to $50,000. Thanks to their generosity, any increased donation above and beyond your 2022 gift by the end of the year will have twice the impact.
